Avila Beach Historical Tour App
The Avila Community has a rich and interesting history dating back to the 1500s. The Foundation provided a grant to fund the Avila Beach Historical Tour App so that residents and visitors of all ages can learn about and enjoy the history of Avila. Local historian and author Jack San Filippo curated the content and provided the photos. The App highlights numerous landmarks and historical events.
Avila has changed throughout the years from a town fueled by fishing, then oil and currently tourism but the spirit of the small town is still as vibrant as ever.
